Publishing data from the Partial monitoring system of environmental radioactivity on the territory of the Slovak republic

Description: Web -Map application for presenting the data output from the radiation monitoring network of the Slovak Republic. Network of measuring stations itself is operated Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute under the authority of the Minister of Environment of the Slovak Government.
The main objectives of publishing data of monitoring radioactivity :
- Creates a basis for deciding on the economy
Artificial radiation sources are in fact increasingly used in various industrial and service facilities . In some locations , however, is also active radiation from natural sources. It is necessary to know the characteristics of the resulting ionizing radiation , so they can be included in the decision-making process in economic activities.
- Provides information about a specific part of the environment
Few areas of human knowledge have led to such controversial public attitudes as just the area of the effects of ionizing radiation . Thorough public awareness of this issue would permit an administrative relationship to this issue , to shape public behavior and allowing the emergence of such measures , which will be directed to protecting the health and quality of life .
